Battery-based System

The battery-based Idle Free electric APU is the complete, year-round idle elimination solution for sleeper trucks and day cabs pulling a dry van.

This system captures energy produced by the engine's alternator and stores it in an independent AGM battery bank. When the engine is off, this energy is converted into 120 volt electricity that can be used to meet a driver's HVAC and hotel needs as well as keep the truck engine warm.

Reefer-based System

The reefer-based Idle Free electric APU is the complete, year-round idle elimination solution for sleeper trucks and day cabs pulling a refrigerated trailer.

This one-of-a-kind system uses patented Reefer Link™ technology to make energy from the reefer unit available to meet a driver's HVAC and hotel needs as well as to keep the truck engine warm.

School Bus Heat System

The patent-pending Idle Free School Bus Heat System is a battery-based Idle Free electric APU designed specifically for school buses.

This system captures energy produced by the alternator when a school bus is in motion and stores it in an advanced AGM battery. When the engine is off, this independent battery is used to power the system and keep the cabin and the school bus engine warm.

Modular Design

The Idle Free electric APU uses a modular design that delivers key functions via separate system modules. In addition, each module comes pre-assembled and wired with quick connect couplings.
